2021 Red Poppy Estate Heathcote Sparkling Shiraz

A classic Heathcote sparkling Shiraz in every sense, although it relies less on sweetness for interest than some. Late summer fruits with a touch of spice and dark chocolate

Deep purple in colour, this is a Heathcote sparkling Shiraz for the purists – without the overt sweetness of some. It shows fruit of cherry plums, redcurrant and blueberry, a mild creaminess comes from delicate bubbles befitting a high level sparkling wine made in the Traditional Methode. With some time in the bottle, to age further, there are elements of cocoa nibs, tobacco leaf and cedar, whilst balanced and refined tannins provide a sophisticated dry finish.
